IRNA First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Tuesday that Warsaw meeting was aimed at spreading Iranophobia with the help of the US and Israel, but promoters of Iranophobia were disgraced.
Addressing closing ceremony of the Sixth Conference on Irans Scientific Progress and Development in University of Khatam, he said that promoting the countrys independence and national strength in the face of global and regional problems is one of the major issues today.
Warsaw meeting is held at a time when some with the help of the US and Israel are seeking to frighten others from Iran, but they fail and become disgraced, he said.
Referring to occurrence of some wars in Iraq and Afghanistan by the US and subsequently creation of terrorist groups, he said that Iran was the winner in all situations.
The US attacked Afghanistan under the pretext of Al-Qaeda and Taliban but eventually friends of Iran stayed in the scene, as the same also happened in Syria.
Irans situation in the region is such that some are seeking to challenge its influence in the region, he said.
Currently, promoting the countrys national capacity is necessary for development, he said, noting that national capacity should be utilized to monitor major needs of the society, Jahangiri said.
Promoting level of understanding and national dialogue is another necessity of the country, he said, noting that when a country is targeted from outside, it should solve domestic issues through talks.
