IRNA Making decision on the issues regarding the country's atomic energy is based on the decisions initially made by Irans Supreme National Security Council, Science Minister Mansour Gholami said on Wednesday.

Elaborating on recent comments by Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), regarding inspection of Iranian universities by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Gholami told reporters that Ali Akbar Salehi is in charge of the country's atomic energy activities.

'Salehi is in charge of the atomic energy issues and the AEOI acts upon decisions made by the country's Supreme National Security Council,' the Iranian minister said.

On Nov 22, 2018, the IAEA announced for the 14th time Irans full compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of nuclear material declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement, it added.

The JCPOA is an agreement on the nuclear program of Iran reached in Vienna on 14 July 2015 between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security CouncilChina, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United Statesplus Germany), and the European Union.
