IRNA Irans Deputy Minister of Defense Brigadier General Qassem Taqizadeh said on Sunday that Iran has never been the beginner of a war and will not be in the future.
Speaking during a conference in the Supreme National Defense University, Taqizadeh said that the Ministry of Defense used to produce by itself all the required equipment.
In 2009, the then defense minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi decided that all the equipment do not have to be produced by the Ministry of Defense, rather some research centers and the private sector could be asked to partake in producing military equipment.
He said that with cooperation with the private sector, the enemy will no longer be able to threaten the countrys defensive structure by destroying a production unit.
