Professor Samii: My heart beating for Iran
IRNA - Professor Majid Samii, distinguished Iranian neurosurgeon and medical scientist, said that everywhere in the world he is, his heart beats for Iran, and he likes to do his best for Iranian people.

Samii, who traveled to China to open 'Prof. Samii's International Center for Neuroscience in Beijing', said in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Tuesday, 'But a physician should be available elsewhere if it is possible. And I'm happy to be in China.'

He stated that with the aim of developing medical knowledge in Iran, during the years he was in Germany, he organized courses and congresses every year in Iran, and transmitted what he knew in this area to Iranian specialists.

Professor Samii said, 'I am satisfied with my conscience because I have not missed any time to make progress in the science of neurosurgery in Iran. With my efforts, there are now some outstanding people in Iran working in this field, and I hope the Iranian Neuroscience Center will be set up soon so that I can serve more people in our center.'

He said about the opening of the Beijing Neurology Center, 'I have been conducting courses for neurosurgical specialists and surgeons for 30 years now, and it can be said that almost all neurosurgeons of this country have been educated in my school.'

'The long-standing relationship with China has made them interested in joining and inviting me each year. This year I decided to launch the center with all facilities and leadership and management.'
