IRNA - Head of Iran's Presidential Office Mahmoud Vaezi stressed the fact that developing relations and cooperation with neighbors is of strategic importance for Iran.
Vaezi made the remarks in a meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan.
He called for promoting all-out relations between Iran and Turkey.
Vaezi, leading a high-ranking politico-economic delegation, arrived in Ankara, Turkey, on Thursday to talk with senior Turkish officials.
Expressing regret over train crash in Turkey, he sympathized with victims of the deadly accident.
Referring to holding four rounds of supreme council of strategic cooperation between the two countries, Vaezi said, 'We are happy that its fifth round will be held within days.'
This is while, Iran hopes to reach the desired level of trade ties between two countries, the Iranian official added.
The agreement between presidents of the two countries to raise their trave volume to $30b is of importance, Vaezi noted.
He also called for making efforts to remove obstacle on the way of developing economic cooperation of the activists and private sectors.
Meanwhile, Pekcan said Iran has always been a strategic partner for Turkey and is of strategic importance for to the Turkish side.
She also urged both sides to pave the way for promoting joint investment and cooperation.
There is no obstacle on the way of promoting all-out relations between Iran and Turkey, she said.
Since 2013 when President Rouhani has taken office, Iranian and Turkish presidents have exchanged official visits to each other's country and the fifth official meeting of the presidents will soon be held in Turkey.
Furthermore, Rouhani and Turkish President Recep Teyyip Erdogan have had meetings on the sidelines of the regional and international meetings.
