IRNA - Iranian Border Guard Commander Brigadier General Qasem Rezaei and Azerbaijan Chief of State Border Service and Commander of Border Troops General-Lieutenant Elchin Guliyev held talks here on Tuesday.

The two sides also reviewed the ways to foster border relations and increase mutual border security.

Commander Rezaei arrived in Baku on Monday evening upon an official invitation of Guliyev to attend the 11th Iran-Azerbaijan border commanders meeting.

While in Baku, General Rezaei is slated to hold talks with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Interior Minister Ramil Usubov and Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.
