IRNA Iranian seas enjoy full security, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said, adding that there is no need for the presence of foreign countries.
Khanzadi made the remarks Monday addressing the 13th International Conference On coasts, Ports and Marine structures which is currently underway in Tehran.
Geopolitical experts consider Iran as the center of world, he said.
Today the world should accept Iran's maritime civilization as inseparable part of world maritime structures, he added.
Iranian navy forces have turned out to be high seas and ocean forces, he said, adding that we have safeguarded the Indian Ocean well by dispatching 57 flotillas.
Referring to some Iranian domestic achievements, Khanzadi said it means that the US political and economic pressures had no effect.
Earlier, in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Khanzadi said Iranian navy forces are slated to dispatch three destroyers by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (ends March 22, 2019) to the high seas.
Iranian naval fleet has powerful presence in Indian Ocean, Gulf of Aden, Bab-el-Mandeb, South China Sea and Strait of Gibraltar to safeguard trade fleet and Iranian oil tankers, he added.
