SHANA - Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh appointed Hassan Montazer Torbati as the new head of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

Mr. Zangeneh issued a decree on Sunday evening replacing Mohammad Reza Araghi with Mr. Torbati.

Mr. Araghi stepped down from his post as NIGC CEO due to retirement.

Previously, Hassan Montazer Torbati served as the managing director of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC).
