MNA � Attach� of the Romanian embassy in Iran said the two countries should broaden economic, trade and tourism relations.







Bogdan Pakorari referred to his country's long-standing relations with the Islamic Republic and called for expansion of bilateral ties with Iran, especially with the port city of Bandar-e Anzali.

He made the remarks during a meeting with the mayor of Anzali and some parliamentarians, which was held in the port city on Tuesday.

He noted that �Anzali and Tulcea should become twin towns�, saying necessary conditions need to be provided for a comprehensive development of relations between the two countries.

Pakorari said Anzali has particular attractions that provide the grounds for the development of inclusive relations.

Noting that Anzali has been well-known as a gateway to Europe, he expressed hope that Romania could use the port city�as a safe water route linking Europe to the Central Asian states.
