IRNA President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday hailed massive turnout in 13 Aban rallies, saying that holding National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance is indicative of popular attachment to the Islamic Revolution.
Addressing a Cabinet session late Sunday, he appreciated glorious participation of the people in 13 Aban rallies and Arbaeen ceremony, saying, Arbaeen walk reveals deep bond between the Iranian nation and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Infallible Household.
Glorious holding of National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance at a time when US enmities are escalating following its withdrawal from the JCPOA indicates popular attachment to the Islamic Revolution and its ideals, Rouhani said.
The 13 Aban rallies showed that after a lapse of 40 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian people has still deep-rooted and unbreakable bond with the revolutions ideals, Rouhani said.
Thousands of Iranians rallied Sunday in commemoration of the 39th anniversary of the takeover and hostage crisis at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, just hours before the re-imposition of all American sanctions lifted under the nuclear deal.
