Irans foreign trade exceeds $53.3b in 7 months

IRNA Head of Irans Customs Administration said on Monday that Irans foreign trade crossed $53.3 billion over the past seven months.


Foroud Asgari also noted that Irans trade balance was positive standing at 926 million dollars during the same period.

Some 67.362 million tons of non-oil goods valued at $27.229 billion were exported to target markets during the same period, up by 13.35 percent in terms of value compared to the figure for the similar period last year, he said.

The official put the amount of imports at $18.929 tons valued at $26.303 billion over the past seven months, down by 8.68 percent in terms of weight and 11.7 percent in terms of value year on year.

Asgari further noted that major exported goods from Iran included gas condensates and liquid propane gas (LPG) while CKD, rice and soybeans were among major imported commodities.
