IRNA A Chinese company will undergo feasibility study on construction of Jolfa-Maku railway in northwestern Iran, according to the managing-director of Maku Free Zone.
Gholamreza Soleimani told the Islamic Republic News Agency's correspondent on Monday that CRFG Company signaled readiness for the study after meeting with managers of Maku and Aras Free Zones.
Its closeness to Turkey has given Maku and Aras Free Zones a special status making it the linking bridge with Europe and the neighboring countries.
It is the largest free zone of the country having 140 kms of joint borders with Azerbaijan Republic and 130 kms of joint borders with Turkey.
