Japan FM's advisor: Iran plays role in Middle East peace

IRNA - An advisor to Japan Foreign Minister and head of the Middle East Research Institute of Japan, pointed to the special geopolitics of the Middle East, and emphasized the importance of Iran in establishing stability and security in the region.


Akitaka Saiki on Saturday in a meeting with Morteza Rahmani Movahed, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Japan, referred to the history of Iran and Japan's several hundred years of relationship, and emphasized that the emperor of Japan and its people are familiar with the Iranian people and culture, and historical monuments of Iran is in the museums and historical sites throughout this country.

Rahmani Movahed also highlighted the long-standing relations between the two countries and the interest of the people and high-ranking officials of Iran in the culture and the people of Japan, and pointed out that, despite the dimension of distance, this friendship and heartfelt relationship based on mutual respect have been increased.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Japan also welcomed the enhancement of cooperation with the Iranian side by highlighting Iran's position in the region and explaining the current situation in the Middle East.
