IRNA - Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg held talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in New York Tuesday night on bilateral ties and other issues of mutual interests.


The meeting took place at the residence of the Iranian president in New York on the sidelines of the 73rd meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.

Rouhani arrived in New York Sunday evening to attend the high profile meeting.

During his stay in New York, Rouhani has far held meetings with American political elites, his Cuban, Bolivian and Turkish counterparts, head of the International Olympic Committee, director of the International Monetary Fund, Chief Executive of Afghanistan and Norwegian prime minister.

The Iranian president also delivered speeches at the UN General Assembly and a meeting commemorating late South African leader Nelson Mandela besides giving interviews to NBC, CNN and PBS networks.

He is also scheduled to meet with his French president and British prime minister.
