IRNA � There should be efforts to make the officials of Twitter aware that they are being exploited by terrorist groups, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said elaborating on the country's foreign minister's tweet to its CEO.

They are, knowingly or unknowingly, serving the terrorists' interests, Bahram Qasemi said Monday, referring to a recent support by US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley for Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) terrorist group by retweeting a post of the group.

'Such whistle-blowing disclosures would make a significant difference,' he said at his weekly press conference.

Mohammad-Javad Zarif Sunday criticized Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, for shutting down some Iranian accounts, but ignoring the bots, saying that it should investigate the fake accounts that were created to form a false storm against Iran by 'regime change' propaganda.

No doubt that the US is trying to support such tools for its own interests by disturbing and affecting Iranian public opinion, Qasemi said.

'The adversary groups have always been supported by the US to a large extent, and they cannot survive,' he added.
