MNA � Iraqi Customs put the maximum currency allowed for entering into the Islamic Republic of Iran at �10,000 or its equivalent.

Iraqi government has allowed tourists visiting Iran to carry the maximum sum equal to �10,000 or its equivalent in other currencies.

Earlier, the amount of currency that Iraqi tourists were allowed to carry on their person for travelling to Iran had been based on US dollar.

Meanwhile, the maximum sum of currency that travellers can bring into Iraq has been set at �5,000 or its equivalent in other currencies.
