FNA - An Iranian Air Force F-5 fighter jet crashed in the Southern province of Khuzestan on Sunday afternoon, killing the pilot.

"The fighter jet crashed in Dezfoul (a city in Khuzestan province) and Colonel (Manouchehr) Fattahi, the pilot, was martyred," Commander of Dezfoul's Law Enforcement Police Ali Elhami told FNA.

He added that further details will be released after investigations into the cause of the incident.
