IRNA -- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced on Wednesday that over 15,000 Syrians are currently being held captive by Daesh terrorist group.
In a report on the occasion of International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, the body said that 31 people including one child and 13 women have been killed under torture in detention centers of terrorist groups.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011.
Seven years of conflict in Syria have left more than 350,000 people dead, according to an updated overall death toll released in March by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
