SHANA - The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) completed drilling of 43 oil and gas wells over the course of the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21.

Hamidreza Khoshyand, deputy managing director of NIDC, said the wells were spudded in offshore and onshore projects across Iran.

He also said the company successfully drilled 57,417 meters of oil and gas wells during the period.

According to the official, 22 of the wells were development and appraisal wells while 21 others were workovers.

NIDC possesses over 70 light, heavy and supper-heavy drilling rigs.
