SHANA - The Iranian Ministry of Petroleum (MOP) is planning the first conference on Asset Management Integration in onshore and offshore oil and gas industries in Tehran on June 25 and 26.
Representatives of domestic and foreign companies are invited to the event which is to be conducted by top Iranian and foreign speakers.
Addressing a press conference on the event, Alireza Asl Arabi, director of Petroleum Ministry's Physical Asset Management System, said the event is being put together with emphasis on a scientific and specific approach to operational processes and maintenance, and that it is a new issue in the oil industry.
He said the conference makes it possible for identification of service providers in engineering, construction, renovation and maintenance sectors regarding asset management.
Asl Arabi further expressed optimism that once the field of asset management reaches maturity in Iran's oil industry based on the latest standards in the field, new companies will be activated in this regard with acceptable standards and rankings.
