Press TV - Iran�s Deputy Minister for Industry, Mine and Trade Mehdi Karbasian says a special committee has been set up in the Ministry to study and handle the consequences of the US sanctions on Iranian industries.

Karbasian said undoubtedly the US sanctions will have their impacts on Iran�s mining industry, adding�Iran�s mining industry will face no serious problem�in terms of raw materials and human resources because the areas are mainly domestic.

The deputy minister added sanctions will only hamper technological areas of the industry, saying for the time being, Iranian engineers are working hard to meet parts of the needs in this area.

�As far as the Europeans remain faithful to their pledges under the Iran nuclear deal, Iran will face no serious problem in this field,� he was quoted as saying in a report by the Persian-language Tasnim News Agency.



He then said over the past three to four years, most unfinished projects in the mining industry have been put back on track.

Karbasian said Iran�s steel industry has been growing steadily over the past years and noted during the past Persian calendar year, Iran exported over 9 tonnes of steel to a number of countries.

He then expressed satisfaction with the growing production of other metals in Iran like cooper.

The deputy minister said since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran has been facing relentless sanctions by the enemies but the Iranian government and nation have manage to survive the sanctions through hard efforts and resolute wills.
