IRNA � The July 2015 nuclear deal on one hand had the world attitude towards Iran corrected and on the other hand proved the warmongering face of the US to the global nations, Iranian vice president for parliamentary affairs said.


Demonstrating Iran's peaceful nature and the US warmongering face were the important outcomes of the international deal formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Hossein-Ali Amiri said at a local meeting in this central Iranian province on Friday evening.

The US May exit from the JCPOA showed that Iran, despite the negative propaganda against the country, is after peace not war, Amiri said.

US President Donald Trump's withdrawal from the Iran Deal which is an international agreement indicated Washington's disloyalty; however, Tehran will stay committed to the deal as long as its national interests are served, the official added.

Today, he said, the global community, excluding the US and the Zionist regime, has stood by the Iran Deal.

Trump announced his decision about the Iran Deal on May 8 and withdrew his country unilaterally from the international agreement. Many world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union (EU) are against Trump's decision.

As Amiri said, the US plots against the country will be foiled through fostering cooperation between the government, Majlis and people and also relying on the national capacities.
