MNA Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran (SNSC), told Al-Jazeera that any American aggressive action in the Persian Gulf will face direct and swift reaction.
Washington does not dare to attack Iran and the policy of sanctions is a failed policy, Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani said on Wednesday afternoon in an interview with Aljazeera.
Our missile program is non-negotiable and we will continue to develop our defense capabilities. We will continue to support Hamas, Islamic Jihad Movement and the Resistance Axis as a whole, Shamkhani underlined.
With regard to the appalling situation in Yemen under Saudi-led coalition aggression, Shamkhani said Ansarallah movement agreed with the European plan for a ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan, but Riyadh opposed the plan.
He added "we are ready to start constructive and rational dialogue with the Saudis without any preconditions."
"We will not retreat from Syria, and our presence there will be at the request of the Syrian government," the secretary of SNSC said, adding the Zionist regime has received a clear message that any aggression against Syria will face a resolute and vigorous response.
