In a televised speech on Wednesday, the principlist candidate said whatever he tells the nation would be a mandate for his future administration and he would make good on his promises.
The Tehran mayor also stated that he would fix social maladies, discrimination, poverty, inflation and unemployment.
He said he would act within the framework of the law and the Constitution, without engaging in favoritism or political disputes.
Qalibaf vowed to protect national interests in international relations, adding that this could only happen through national unity, stability and security.
In Irans June 14 election, Qalibaf will be competing against Secretary of Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei, President of the Center for Strategic Research of the Expediency Council Hassan Rohani, lawmaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, former Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Velayati, former First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, and former Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Gharazi.
The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election after the Guardian Council vets the candidates.
