IRNA Iran's second petrochemical conference on upstream and downstream industries dubbed 'development and investment' was held in Paris Continental Hotel on Thursday.
Iran's Ambassador to France Abul Qassem Delfi, as one of speakers, pointed to the positive trend of the economic developments between Iran and France and plenty of economic capacities in different fields, including petrochemical industry.
Delfi said the aim of this conference is to persuade international companies to participate in developing plans of Iran petrochemical industry.
Deputy Petroleum Minister Reza Norouzzadeh and a number of Iranian, French and European companies' officials attended the conference.
Norouzzadeh, who is head of National Petrochemical Company, pointed to achievements of the industry over past 12 years, and said that by relying on domestic capabilities and capacities in collaboration with a number of foreign companies production capacity of petrochemical industry has increased three times.
He added that within a framework of 5-year development plan more than 100 plans are ready now for joint venture project with foreign companies, including French companies.
The deputy minister invited foreign companies to attend next exhibition of oil, gas and petrochemical in Iran.
