IRNA � Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with his Norwegian counterpart Marie Eriksen S�reide reviewed the importance of complying with Iran nuclear accord.


During the meeting which was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) High-level Meeting on Sustaining Peace, both sides discussed the need for the US and the EU to stay committed to Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and also Europe�s attempts to preserve the deal.

Iranian and Norwegian ministers also underlined the importance of all countries cooperation to find a political solution for regional crises, especially in Syria and Yemen.

Bilateral ties and boosting economic and investment cooperation between Iran and Norway were among other topics discussed by both sides.

Zarif also met with Foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas.

US President Donald Trump has threatened to leave the nuclear deal unless what he called as its flaws are removed by May 12. French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are to meet President Trump in Washington this week with the JCPOA being one of the main topics of their discussion.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has already confirmed ten times Iran's commitment to the landmark July 2015 international deal.
