IRNA Austrian Ambassador to Iran Stefan Scholz voiced his countrys readiness for constructing more solar power plants in Kerman province, saying that first phase of a solar power plant in the province is currently under construction.
Inspecting the first phase of the 1.2 megawatt power plant in Rafsanjan Special Economic Zone, he said the second phase of the power plant will also be constructed within two years at a cost of 55 million euros.
Two major Austrian economic projects have been implemented in Kerman province over the two past years, two years ago. An Austrian economic delegation visited Iran and the trip yielded desirable economic results.
The First project implemented by Austria in Iran was a solar power plant in Rafsanjan and the second project is in Gol Gohar which is currently under construction, he said.
Noting that Kerman province and city of Rafsanjan are among suitable areas for investment, he said that a state-of-the-art steel production line will soon be launched in province.
Scholz further stated that his country does not have oil resources and thats human resources in the country which plays a crucial role in economic welfare of his country.
We are ready to share our achievements with Iranians, he said.
As to renewable energies, he said that Austria is forerunner in the world in terms of using renewable energies, as it generates 91.8 percent of its needed energy from renewable resources.
