IRNA � Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said on Tuesday that Moscow calls for expansion of relations and economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.


He said in a meeting with the top Iranian top economic delegation who attended the 14th Iran-Russian Joint Economic Commission meeting in Russia.

Moscow believes that the move is very significant and underlines expansion of cooperation and relation with Iran, he said.

Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance,Masoud Karbasian and Iran's Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanaei were also present in the meeting.

Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Masoud Karbasian, heading a 75-member delegation, arrived in Moscow to attend the 14th Iran-Russian Joint Economic Commission meeting on Sunday morning.

Some 25 representatives from Iran's private sector accompany Karbasian during his visit to Russia.
