Financial Tribune- After 28 years, direct flights between Tehran and Belgrade will be launched as of early March.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the announcement in a joint economic forum between Iranian and Serbian business people held on Tuesday.

Ever since Serbia signed a visa liberalization agreement with Iran in August 2017, the number of Iranian nationals visiting the European country has been constantly going up.

According to the Serbian police, in the last five months, over 6,000 Iranians visited Serbia, Serbian Monitor reported.
