Iran denies link to group arrested for spying in Saudi Arabia
Irandenied on Wednesday any link to members of a spying ring detained by its Sunni Muslim regional rival Saudi Arabia, according to Iranian media. Saudi state media reported on Tuesday that officials had detained 10 people accused of spying for Iran after arresting 18 people in the same case in March.

 
Iran to unveil 5 new military products
Iran plans to unveil five new defensive achievements in a special ceremony on Wednesday, the Iranian defense ministry announced in a statement issued on Tuesday. The defense ministry said in its statement that new products, including weapons and personnel combat equipments, will go on display in a special ceremony in Tehran on the verge of Khordad 3 (May 24), marking the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr city from the Iraqi occupation during the eight-year war in the 1980s.

 
South Koreas oil imports from Iran rise in April: Report
South Koreas crude imports from Iran have increased 7.5 percent in April compared to a month ago despite the US-led unilateral embargoes against the Islamic Republics oil and financial sectors. South Korea imported 4.18 million barrels of Iranian crude oil in April, equivalent to 139,400 barrels per day (bpd), Reuters reported citing the latest official data on Wednesday.

 
Irans Ahmadinejad says will challenge allys ban from election
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday he would ask Irans supreme leader to reverse a ban preventing his aide from running in next months presidential poll, a test of stability after the violent trauma of the 2009 vote. The Guardian Council, charged with vetting all candidates, disqualified Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie, Ahmadinejads former chief of staff, on Tuesday, as well as ex-President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani from the June 14 election, leaving a field dominated by hardliners loyal to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
