Iranian, French FMs may attend Louvre Museum works exhibition in Tehran

IRNA Director General of the Museums and Mobile Historical Assets Mohammad-Reza Kargar said that Iranian and French foreign ministers will likely attend ceremonies marking inauguration of the exhibition of Louvre museum at the National Museum of Iran.


Kargar told IRNA that taking no change in the schedule, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif will open up Louvre exhibition in Iran.

He said a series of programs are on agenda in the 80th anniversary of the national museum on the basis of which many exhibitions, including the exhibition of ancient works of Armenia will be open at National Museum of Iran in October, that of South Korea works in November there and more than 50 works from French Louvre museum in the Iranian museum in March.

He noted that 56 works of Louvre museum, including more than 50 statues, embossed designs, paintings, inscriptions and several others, were for the first time displayed at Iran National Museum for four months.
