Envoy: IAEA confirms Irans compliance with JCPOA for 10th time

IRNA - Ambassador and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the IAEA Reza Najafi said on Thursday that the international body reaffirmed that Iran is living up to its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal.

He further noted that this is IAEAs tenth report since the JCOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) took effect and ninth report to the Board of Governors on the verification of JCPOA implementation, confirming that Irans nuclear activities were in full compliance with the international pact.

Continuation of Irans nuclear activities including enrichment and 5060 first generation centrifuges in Natanz site, keeping production of heavy water in Arak facility and Tehran research reactor were among the items dealt with in the IAEAs new report on Irans nuclear program, Najafi said.

The text of the new report was like those in the past with the changes including technical developments such as rise of heavy water reserves, rate of enriched uranium of 3.67 percent and replacing certain centrifuges, he said.

Najafi also underlined that Iran and all members of the IAEA expect secretariat of the agency to continue its professional job impartially on the basis of Safeguards standards.

IAEA Board of Governors will examine the report during their quarterly session from March 4-9.
