IRNA Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in a message to his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani extended his condolences over a plane crash that is feared to have claimed the lives of 66 people.
An Iranian passenger plane of Asseman Airlines hit Dena Mountains, 120 km from Semirom, Isfahan Province, early Sunday morning. The debris of the plane has not been found yet, but all 66 people onboard are reportedly dead in the tragic incident.
Assad in his message has expressed his sadness over the death of scores of people in the tragedy.
'The brotherly relations between the two countries, has made the nations to share their grief in bitter incidents as well as their hopes,' he said.
'The past experience shows that the two countries can leave the painful events behind to continue their efforts for realizing the future they hope for,' the Syrian President said.
