Iran, Europe discuss latest developments in Yemen

IRNA - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in a meeting with his European counterparts discussed the latest developments in Yemen.

Following the continued attacks of the Zionist regime of Israel and the UAE which have resulted in a human tragedy, deputy foreign ministers of Iran and the European countries convened on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference on Saturday to review the latest developments in Yemen and the ways for countering the cruel siege of Yemeni people and dispatching humanitarian aid to that Arab country.

The meeting was held with the attendance of deputy foreign ministers of Iran, Italy, France, England and Germany.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif heading a diplomatic delegation is now in Munich to participate in the 54th Munich Security Conference.

The conference has gathered 30 heads of countries and over 100 ministers.

Over the past five decades, the Munich Security Conference (MSC) has become the major global forum for the discussion of security policy. Each February, it brings together more than 450 senior decision-makers from around the world, including heads-of-state, ministers, leading personalities of international and non-governmental organizations, as well as high ranking representatives of industry, media, academia, and civil society, to engage in an intensive debate on current and future security challenges.
