SHANA - Operator of the development project at Azar joint oilfield says the project has so far made 78% physical progress.

He said the first train of oil facilities of the field will come on-stream next calendar year, adding once the second train of the project comes online, crude oil output at the field reaches 65,000 b/d in the first phase development of the project.

Yarahmadi spoke about the activities in the pipeline construction section of the project, saying, 130 kilometers of sour oil pipeline to Dehloran has already become operational, and 130 km of oil and gas pipelines to the Dehloran gas collection facilities are in their final stages of construction.

The construction of a sweet oil pipeline from Dehloran to Cheshmeh Khosh will be finalized at 70 kilometers by the end of spring next year, he added.

Azar oil field in the Anaran block is located between the cities of Mehran and Dehloran near the Zagros Mountains and along the border between Iran and Iraq (southwest of the western province of Ilam). The field produces over 30,000 barrels/day of oil.
