Tasnim - Leader of Iraqs National Wisdom Movement Seyed Ammar al-Hakim highlighted the common security threats against his country and neighboring Iran, praising Tehran for its unwavering supports for Baghdad in the war on terrorism.
Any security challenge in Iraq would also have an effect on Iran, Hakim said in Baghdad on Friday, addressing a meeting in celebration of the 39th anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Irans problem is also a problem of Iraq, the cleric added, noting that the fates of the two neighboring countries are integrated.
Hakim further hailed Iran as the staunchest supporter of Iraq over the past 14 years in the political and security spheres and in the war on Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group, calling for the Islamic Republics continued backing during the new era of development in Iraq.
Iran, a close ally of Iraq, supported the Arab nation in the fight against Daesh since the terrorist group invaded Iraq in summer 2014.
The Iranian officials have already voiced readiness to help Iraq in the reconstruction process, following the fall of Daeshs self-proclaimed caliphate in November 2017.
