Followers of all religions in Iran coexisting peacefully: Official
IRNA - Director of Iran's National Library and Archives Organiation (NLAO) Ashraf Boroujerdi said on Sunday that different ethnic groups and followers of all divine religions in Iran have always lived peacefully toghether and this co-existence should be enhanced.


Talking to the senior Sunni Iranian cleric Molavi Abdolhamid in Zahedan in southern province of Sistan-Balouchestan, Boroujerdi stressed the significance of boosting people-to-people contacts in the country.

She said fostering these contacts can play a key role in preventing differences among people.

Zahedan Friday prayers leader, Molavi Abdolhamid, for his part said that the situation in the world has changed.

Referring to the peaceful life of followers of all faiths and all ethnicities in Sistan-Balouchestan Provinc, he expressed satisfaction over lack of disparity between Shia and Sunni Muslims in the province.

Molavi Abdolhamid also hailed the active participation of women in this southern province.
