IRNA - An earthquake measuring 4.2 on Richter scale rocked Guriyeh village, in the south western province of Khuzestan on Wednesday.
According to the Seismography Center of the Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 02:42 hours local time (23:12 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 48.65 degrees longitude and 31.91 degrees latitude and in the depth of 10 km underground.
The area jolted for 40 times on December 30.
There was no initial report on injuries or damage caused to infrastructure following the recent tremor.
