Iran envoy hails Brazilian novelist's anti-riots tweet

IRNA Iranian ambassador to UK in a message welcomed the stance taken by Brazilian lyricist and novelist Paulo Coelho over the anti-Iran claims made by the son of dethroned shah of Iran Reza Pahlavi.

We fully sympathize with Paulo Coelho when screamed at Reza Pahlavi who asked the US to meddle into the Iranian affairs. Reza Pahlavi lacks legitimacy to represent people. He is accused of corruption and is awaited to explain the so-called suicide of his brother & sister, Hamid Baeidinejad? said in a Twitter message released recently.

Reacting to Reza Pahlavi who pretended to support Iranian people during recent riots in the country, Coelho in a Twitter message said on Jan 4 Shut up. SAVAK is dead, and the Iranian people will rally to support their country if you ever ask for another coup d'etat like the one orchestrated by CIA in 1953.

I fully support the Iranian people, not morons like this 'heir of the throne' asking for foreign interference, like many here on twitter, he twitted.

After some Iranians took to the streets to protest against the unemployment and high prices, and, with the provocation of certain foreign and anti-Islamic Revolution media, some elements penetrated the lines of protestors to drive the peaceful protests towards violence, and US President Donald Trump overtly supported the rioters assuming that the former US administration had made a mistake about Iran riots in 2009.

Paulo Coelho born August 24, 1947 is a Brazilian lyricist and novelist and the recipient of numerous international awards. He is best known for his widely translated novel The Alchemist. He is the writer with the highest number of social media followers reaching over 29.5 million fans through his Facebook page and 12.2 million followers on Twitter.
