IRNA - Head of Iran's Strategic Council on Foreign Relations Kamal Kharrazi said on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran will remain committed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by the time it bears fruit.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of Tehran Security Council, he said in case the JCPOA fails to produce any tangible results in line with Iran's interests, the country will walk out.
If the US ignores to extend suspension of the economic sanctions, it will be tantamount to their walking out from the treaty, he said.
Tehran will wait and see how the Europeans will deal with Trump's policies, he said, adding that if they maintain their independence and continue to resist against sanctions and the US decisions, the situation will differ, but if they yield to US pressure, there will be another scenario, Kharrazi said.
The 2nd Tehran Security Conference 2018: Regional Security in West Asia, Emerging challenges and Trends started in Iran capital city on Monday with a speech delivered by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
