IRNA � Police spokesman Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi said on Saturday that most of the deceived rioters arrested in recent unrests in Iran have been released on bail while the main perpetrators of the riots are still in custody.


Commenting on police performance in recent developments in Iran, he said that a small number of deceived elements acted to disrupt security and damage public property and police in intelligent and prudent operations managed to segregate the people with legitimate demands from those who orchestrated riots in a shortest time and then arrested them, which brought the riot to an end.

Among those arrested, there are those who desecrated the Iranian flag and also those who caused the death of 20 people including a father and son by leading a fire truck towards people. The incident tormented every Iranians.
