IRNA - Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi on Wednesday dismissed the United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley�s recent anti-Iran remarks, describing it as 'ridiculous'.

Speaking in a local gathering in the holy city of Qom, west of Tehran, the senior cleric said the US and certain European countries are helping Saudi Arabia for bombardment of Yemeni people.

He added that Americans have found a piece of iron and claimed to be parts of a missile launched on Saudi Arabia, accusing Iran of providing Yemen with missiles.

The claims are being made by the governments that have provided Saudi Arabia with bombs to slaughter innocent Yemenis.

Haley on Thursday displayed debris purportedly from a ballistic missile that had been fired from Yemen at an airport in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
