Financial Tribune- The government will allocate 50 trillion rials ($1.19 billion) to bread subsidies and guaranteed wheat purchase scheme as per the budget bill for the next fiscal year (March 2018-19).

The figure indicates a 50% decline compared to the current year�s budget, ISNA reported. More than 8.87 million tons of wheat worth 116 trillion rials ($2.76 billion) were purchased from local farmers by the government in the eight months of the current year.
