Armenia's PM to visit Iran

IRNA Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan will pay a visit to Iran to boost and diversify relations, the former's minister of foreign affairs said on Tuesday.

Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Eduard Nalbandyan announced the news at a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif in the Armenian capital, Yerevan.

'Iran-Armenia relations are founded on the friendship between the two nations, which have a long-lasting record,' he said.

Referring to the friendly nature of the Iran-Armenia realtions, Nalbandyan said, 'The Armenian prime minister's visit to Iran has been on the two countries' agenda, and today, FM Zarif will meet with the Prime Minister and Armenian president (Serzh Sargsyan) too.'

Zarif, heading an economic-political delegation arrived in Yerevan this morning.

The Armenian minister also expressed the two sides' willingness for enhancing bilateral realtions.
