�IRNA � A Iranian religious authority has advised the Islamic sects to respect each other�s sanctities in order to uphold a strong Islamic union.


�Hand in hand, we should not allow anyone to make a rift in the Islamic World,� Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi said in a meeting with visiting Russian Islamic scholars and figures.

Ayatollah Makarem said that the Shias and the Sunnis must respect each other�s sanctities and avoid any kind of disrespect.

Referring to the fall of Daesh, he said Muslims should be alert and not let the enemies to use other methods to ignite wars and disagreements.
