November 25, The Iran Project - Iran's First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri is arrived in Bolivia on Thursday (Nov 23) to participate in the fourth Gas Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in this Latin American country.

Upon arrival in Bolivia, Jahangiri told reporters that Iran plays a key role in shaping the global energy market.

Referring to gas pricing and market security measures, he said that the role of natural gas in the future energy market is growing.

While in this Latin American counter, Jahangiri addressed the gathering, held talks with President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, Bolivian President Evo Morales� and Bolivian Senate President Eugenio Rojas Apaza.

Addressing the gathering, Jahangiri said that Iran is the center of stability in the Middle East region.

The vice president reiterated Iran�s readiness to do its best to enhance security, stability and sustainable security in the region.

Meanwhile, in a meeting with Jahangiri, Maduro called for closer cooperation with Iran by strengthening partnership in the energy industry.

Cooperation between the Iranian and Venezuelan oil and gas companies could pave the way for the enhancement of bilateral ties between Tehran and Caracas, Maduro said in a meeting with Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri on Friday night (local time).

For his part, Jahangiri voiced Iran�s readiness to provide Venezuela with experiences in different industries, in which Iran has made great advances in recent years.

He also noted that the US sanctions have helped Iran rely on its own capabilities and boots its domestic production to meet demands.

In a meeting with Bolivia�s president on Friday, �Jahangiri said the Islamic Republic is ready to share its expertise in technological fields, as in nanotechnology, with Bolivia.

He also stressed the need for procedures for removing the obstacles to banking cooperation between Iran and Bolivia.

For his part, Bolivian President Evo Morales voiced his country�s willingness to take advantage of Iran�s experiences and advances in new technologies.

Pointing to the favorable results Bolivia has obtained from a number of dairy plants constructed by Iranian companies, Morales said the Latin American country is eager to promote cooperation with Iran in various fields.

Talking to Rojas Apaza, Jahangiri voiced Iran's readiness for providing Bolivia with valuable experiences and know-how.

The two sides also exchanged views over the latest international and regional developments, and emphasized the need for both Tehran and Santa Cruz to do their best to further promote their bilateral ties.

The Gas Exporting Countries Forum, which has 12 members in the likes of Iran, Russia and Qatar, issued a communiqu� at the end of their summit in Bolivia on Friday.

In their statement, the Gas Exporting Countries Forum expressed �profound concern� about sanctions that are not authorized by the United Nations.

Some members of the group such Russia, Iran and Venezuela have been slapped with unilateral economic sanctions by�the United States which is widely believed to be waging an energy war in line with its global domination plans.
