IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held talks with the Niger Prime Minister Brigi Rafini late on Thursday.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed bilateral issues, regional and international developments.
They also underlined the need for promoting relations in all fields, particularly in the arena of economy.
Zarif arrived in Niger on the last leg of his African tour which earlier took him to South Africa and Uganda.
In addition to meeting with the countrys officials, Zarif is also to attend the two countries Commercial Forum.
Upon arrival in Niamey Airport late on Thursday, Zarif was welcomed by his Niger counterpart Ibrahim Yacouba.
Political and economic delegations are accompanying Zarif on his African tour.
Zarif is scheduled to hold talks with the countrys high-ranking officials such as foreign minister.
Strengthening bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments are among the main topics to be discussed during the Iranian top diplomat meetings with Niger senior officials.
