IRNA Iranian nationals residing abroad are a good resource for introducing the country's culture, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in Kampala, Ugandan capital on Tuesday evening.
'Iranian nationals, wherever they live, have been successful in defending their compatriots and national interests,' Zarif noted in a meeting held in Kampala with the Iranians residing there.
'The Iranian nationals residing in other world countries act as a bridge to make a link between the cultures and civilizations,' Zarif said in the meeting held upon his arrival in the Ugandan capital.
He hoped that the Iranian representative offices in different world countries would provide proper services for the Iranian nationals in order to prepare the ground for more active presence of the Iranian entrepreneurs in the global markets.
Talking on his visit to Pretoria, South Africa, which took place prior to the Ugandan visit, Zarif said it was a 'very successful' trip.
He further expressed hope that Iran's high-ranking economic delegation to Uganda would pave the way for further closeness between the two countries.
In Kampala, Zarif is to partake in Iran-Uganda business forum and meet with the country's president.
