MNA � In a message forwarded Thu. Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei praised and honored martyrs to commemorate the national week of Holy Defense.

In the message he wrote �words fall short of describing the grandeur of martyrs, but if such brave and sacrificial men emerge in a nation, it is our duty to follow their footsteps toward the right path of ascension to God.�

He described martyrdom as a God given gift and hailed martyrs as the light, guiding all generations to redemption.
