Tehran, Ljubljana ink MoU on educational coop.

MNA Iran and Slovenia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to hold courses on language, Iranian studies and to exchange professors and students.


Under terms of the cooperation agreement, the two sides will also conduct various research projects with the aim of familiarizing with literature and culture of the two countries.

The MoU on Educational Collaboration was sealed on Friday in the Slovenian capital between the Center for International Scientific Relations Department of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana.

Major items in the cooperation agreement include holding of training courses, Iranian studies, exchange of professors and students as well as various research projects aimed at becoming familiar with literature and culture of the two countries.

A similar MoU had been previously inked between the two sides and, due to its expiry, the new agreement was sealed with a number of modification including addition of more extensive cooperation between the two sides.

In the same line, a different but similar memorandum of understanding was signed between the Center for International Scientific Collaboration of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the University of Maribor of Slovenia.

Over the past few years, with presence of expeditionary professors from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iranian language and literature courses have been held at the universities of Ljubljana, Maribor and Nova Gorica, Slovenia.
